Dear Church Family,
Our Grand Opening of our brand new entryway enhancement is going to be on Sunday, August 18. Brother Mike Weldon who is the Chairman of our wonderful Building Committee will be sharing with us this coming Sunday some of the details of this day. It’s going to be special. The most exciting thing about it is we’re going to be able to enjoy the new entryway restrooms, coffee, and fellowship. It’s going to be fantastic! You don’t want to miss being here on this special day, August 18.
August is the month we welcome back all of our amazing University of Florida and Santa Fe College students to North Central. Our church has always had an intentional ministry to the college student. So many students have come to Christ and grown in Christ as a part of our church family here. I can attest to that! On August 18 there will be a special luncheon for all college students as well as August 25. Our students are looking forward to a great semester and year serving the Lord.
We are coming off one of our best summers ever! The Wednesday night activities were fantastic. All of our families were involved in special events throughout the summer. In addition, Vacation Bible School was wonderful! So many students hearing about Jesus, some coming to know Jesus, and then a missions offering to impact the world like never before was amazing! Thank you to all of our VBS team for making that event special.
Our youth camp was amazing as well. We have seen students saved, baptized, involved in discipleship, and growing in Christ as a result of our youth camp. Thank you, camp leadership, for all you did to make camp special.
We’re getting ready for our upcoming Awana year. Bounce Back to Awana is scheduled for August 14. This is a great night to enjoy our Prayer Meeting at 4:00 for those who can make it where we are studying God’s Word together. Our Family Supper is at 5:00, and then at 6:00 our youth activities and Bounce Back to Awana take place on this special night.
We are baptizing new believers on August 11 as well as participating in the Lord’s Supper. These two ordinances that take place in the local New Testament church were given to us by our Lord. Don’t miss being here for baptism and the Lord’s Supper. This will be an extra special day because all our children and young people will be promoting to their new classes on that morning in Life Groups. Don’t miss being with us on August 11.
Hold September 8 at 6:00 p.m. for our Missions Night. We are looking forward to hearing from all of our people who have been involved in missions this year. Our children will have a special missions passport that they will fill out in order to receive a prize. This is a family event. We’re going to have a great time on September 8. Don’t miss it!
It is such a joy to watch the Lord work in our midst! May the Lord continue to bless this precious fellowship of believers. We are so grateful and thankful for all that Jesus is doing among us.
