Our Children and Preschool ministries are designed for children (and their families) starting at birth and going through 5th grade.
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
That is the goal for our children’s department at North Central. Through Bible stories, one-on-one discipleship, AWANA and many other exciting activities, including our summer Vacation Bible School, we have an amazing opportunity to help encourage children in their faith.

Save the date for VBS 2026! We can’t wait to see kids at Illumination Station where we will be shining a light on who Jesus really is! Click here to register your child now!
We’re brining the waterpark to North Central! Wednesday, June 10 at 6pm! We’ll have giant inflatable waterslides and popsicles for our NCBC Kids! There will also be kiddie pools set up for our toddlers and preschoolers.
Kids are invited to join us on Wednesday, June 17 at 6pm in the Worship Center for a sneak peek of what’s to come at VBS! We’ll be playing games, doing crafts, and learning how Jesus is the light of the world!
Join us for Wednesday Night Supper at 5pm on July 1 and stay after for a free, churchwide ice cream sundae bar! There will also be board games set out for everyone to enjoy, and feel free to bring your own!
Don’t wear your favorite shirt tonight – there’s a chance things could get messy! Our NCBC Kids will be painting t-shirts, finger painting on canvases, and more! Supplies and materials will be provided. Wednesday, July 8 at 6pm!
On July 15, our NCBC Kids and parents are invited to meet us at Bouncers for a night of fun and play! You must RSVP your child by emailing jennarich@gatorchurch.com to be added to the list. Parents must attend this event with their children.
It’s the last Wednesday night of the summer, so we’re having a PARTY! Kids are invited to join us in the Worship Center at 6pm on July 22 for a night of themed games, crafts, and activities!
Kids and families are invited to join us in the Worship Center at 6pm on August 12 for Bounce Back to AWANA! Kids can play on bounce houses and slides while parents complete the registration process for the upcoming AWANA year!
Are you planning to visit?
If this is your first time visiting, please ask a greeter at the door to help you find the class that will best fit your child. We have a classroom that is specially designed for your child’s age group!
All of our volunteers who work with minors complete an application, a background check, a reference check, and a training course before helping with our children.
Please let us know if your child has any allergies or dietary needs at check-in. If you would like to know what we currently have for snacks contact Lee Anne Privette (Preschool) at leeanne@gatorchurch.com, Jenna Rich (Elementary) at jennarich@gatorchurch.com, or your child’s teacher.
Life Groups
We have Life Group classes for all ages every Sunday at 9:30am! Our Preschool and Children’s Life Groups are teacher-led classes where children learn the Bible and complete hands-on activities that enforce the Bible Truths they are being taught. For more information on the curriculum that each class uses, you can contact our Preschool or Children’s Director. These Life Groups are categorized by age/grade level:
- Babies
- 1s
- 2s and 3s
- PreK
- Kindergarten
- 1st-2nd Grade
- 3rd-5th Grade
For the locations of the classrooms, please see a greeter with a nametag at any of our entrances when you arrive.
Discipleship Class
Discipleship is a very important aspect of bringing up children who are committed to living a Christ-centered life. A disciple is a follower of Jesus, and discipleship is a Bible-based process where a seasoned Christian meets with and encourages a new believer, helping them to learn and grow in their faith and build a solid foundation. At North Central, we have a dedicated Children’s Discipleship Class that meets every Sunday during the Life Group hour. In this classroom, each child works one-on-one with an adult teacher.
If your child has expressed interest or is asking questions about salvation, or has recently accepted Christ as their Savior, then this is the perfect program for them. Worship Services
During the worship service, we offer childcare for children that have not yet entered kindergarten (age 5 and under). If you need help finding where your child should attend, please ask a greeter or a teacher from one of the classes in the preschool hallway. Our elementary-aged students are invited to join us in the worship service with their families. We recommend note taking (or drawing pictures) as a way to keep small hands busy and ears open during the service. Children who attend Life Group before the worship service will receive an activity box/bag with age appropriate activities and note-taking sheets, along with a snack, for use during the service. We also have activity boxes available for visiting children – just ask a greeter at the door in the entryway when you arrive!
Wednesday Nights
Our Wednesday Night programming for children is called AWANA. It is open to all kids from age 2 to 5th grade, and we meet from 6pm to 7:30pm weekly. Click here to learn more about AWANA. AWANA meets during the school year, from August to May. During the months of June and July, we have a special event for preschool and elementary children each Wednesday night. Check the calendar on our website for info on those special events!
