Meet the Team
Our Children and Preschool ministries are designed for children (and their families) starting at birth and going through 5th grade.
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not depart from it.”

That is the goal for our children’s department at North Central. Through Bible stories, one-on-one discipleship, AWANA and many other exciting activities, including our summer Vacation Bible School, we have an amazing opportunity to help encourage children in their faith.

When: Wednesday, October 30, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. What: An awesome night of fun! It’s trick or treat in the Church parking lot with bounce houses, games, live music, giveaways, face painting, and lots of candy! We will also have allergen free treats! Cost: FREE entry, and $1 for a corn dog, chips, and a drink!
Join us for our churchwide Operation Christmas Child Packing Party, sponsored by the NCBC Women’s Ministry! There will be a job for everyone from “tiny to ninety” as Pastor Calvin says, so bring out the whole family! We will meet in the Worship Center at 6pm on Sunday, November 10. This will be a festive night of fellowship and service – you don’t want to miss it!
Get out your calendars and save the date for VBS 2025! June 23-27 from 9am to 12pm. VBS is FREE and is open to all kids from completed Kindergarten to completed 5th grade. This year’s theme is Magnified: Discovering the Bigness of God in the Smallest of Things (Psalm 34:3). Click here to watch the Theme Video!
Are you planning to visit?
If this is your first time visiting, please ask a greeter at the door to help you find the class that will best fit your child. We have a classroom that is specially designed for your child’s age group!
All of our volunteers who work with minors complete an application, a background check, a reference check, and a training course before helping with our children.
Please let us know if your child has any allergies or dietary needs at check-in. If you would like to know what we currently have for snacks contact Lee Anne Privette (Preschool) at leeanne@gatorchurch.com, Jenna Rich (Elementary) at jennarich@gatorchurch.com, or your child’s teacher.
Life Groups
We have Life Group classes for all ages every Sunday at 9:30am! Our Preschool and Children’s Life Groups are teacher-led classes where children learn the Bible and complete hands-on activities that enforce the Bible Truths they are being taught. For more information on the curriculum that each class uses, you can contact our Preschool or Children’s Director. These Life Groups are categorized by age/grade level:
- Babies
- 1s
- 2s and 3s
- PreK
- Kindergarten
- 1st-2nd Grade
- 3rd-5th Grade
The babies through 2s and 3s classrooms are located in the preschool hallway of the main building. The PreK through 3rd-5th classrooms are located in the portable behind the main building.
Discipleship Class
Discipleship is a very important aspect of bringing up children who are committed to living a Christ-centered life. A disciple is a follower of Jesus, and discipleship is a Bible-based process where a seasoned Christian meets with and encourages a new believer, helping them to learn and grow in their faith and create a solid foundation. At North Central, we have a dedicated Children’s Discipleship Class that meets every Sunday during the Life Group hour. In this classroom, each child works one-on-one with an adult teacher.
If your child has expressed interest or is asking questions about salvation, or has recently accepted Christ as their Savior, then this is the perfect program for them. Worship Services
During the worship services, we have classes for children that have not yet entered kindergarten (age 5 and under). If you need help finding where your child should attend, please ask a greeter or a teacher from one of the classes in the preschool hallway. Our elementary aged students are invited to join us in the worship service with their families. We recommend note taking (or drawing pictures) as a way to keep small hands busy and ears open during the service.
Wednesday Nights
Our Wednesday Night programming for children is called AWANA. It is open to all kids from age 2 to 5th grade, and we meet from 6pm to 7:30pm weekly. Click here to learn more about AWANA.
