July 2026 Lifeline

I am writing this article just before heading out to go to our Youth Camp at Lake Yale Baptist Assembly in Leesburg, Florida. Lake Yale is the place where my life changed as a teenage boy. It’s our Baptist camp in Central Florida and our young people are headed there as I write. Please be praying that the Holy Spirit would work in every heart and life and that our teenagers would come home surrendered fully to God’s will for their future. This time of camp needs to be bathed in prayer so that the Holy Spirit can work powerfully in hearts and lives. We have the best group of adult leaders working with them this week. Thank you to all of those that are giving up this week to spend this time with them.

We have some wonderful summer activities for the family scheduled on Wednesday nights. We are meeting for Prayer Meeting at 4:00 and studying God’s Word concerning the spiritual armor of Ephesians. We’re praying over the needs of our people. There are activities for our families and young people following our wonderful family supper at 5:00. You can find more information about these different activities elsewhere in the Lifeline. Don’t miss one! It’ll be fun and a blessing.

We always take two weeks off from our Wednesday activities at the end of July and early August to clean the kitchen. July 29 and August 5 are two Wednesday nights that we will not be meeting. We resume back on August 12.

I’m excited that Dr. Thomas White, the President of Cedarville University, will be preaching on Sunday, July 19 in our morning service. Dr. White is a former Professor of Systematic Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Cedarville University is one of the finest Christian universities in America. Years ago, they called Dr. White to be their new president. God’s hand is on this young man and his work. We want to welcome him to our church family on Sunday, July 19 as he preaches God’s Word.

We will be baptizing on July 12. If you need to be baptized, contact the church office and we will get you signed up.

On the 26th of July we will have our Quarterly Business Meeting, and then we will also celebrate the Lord’s Supper together on this special day. Please make every effort to be here as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. This is the service that the Lord gave us to remember his broken body and shed blood on the cross.

What a joy it is to be your Pastor! I want to call us all to prayer as we seek the Lord’s will in many areas of our work. God is on the throne, and God is at work in your life and in the life of our church! May the Lord bless this precious fellowship of believers.
