Can you believe the summer is here? We have had an amazing spring, and we are so grateful and thankful for it. Our new summer Wednesday night ministry begins on Wednesday night June 10 with Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at 4:00 p.m., 5:00 Family Supper and 6:00 is Water Park Wednesday. The whole summer is jam-packed with family friendly events for you and your children to participate in. You will find a copy of the entire summer schedule in this Lifeline.
Parents, please get your students signed up for VBS. Please be on the lookout for children in your neighborhood and within your friendships and family to invite to be a part of VBS. Particularly look out for unchurched families that need a church home. VBS is a wonderful event! The children love it and the leaders are the best ever. It is a perfect introduction to the life of our North Central family.
Our church has set a goal of baptizing 50 this church year. We have already baptized 36! We praise the Lord for this! Our Beach Baptism was an amazing blessing! Well over a hundred people came out to witness these 10 that were baptized. We’re so thankful and grateful for the way God has blessed us in reaching people for Christ and seeing them follow the Lord in believer’s baptism. If you need to be baptized, please contact the church office and we will schedule a time for you to follow the Lord publicly.
I want you to be praying about participating in our evangelism door-to-door ministry on Saturday, August 8. We will attempt to knock on hundreds of doors to invite folks to be a part of our fall ministry as the new school year begins. Mark this date on your calendar for 1 hour of door-to-door work on behalf of our outreach.
I will be meeting with all the parents of our youth this coming Sunday June 7 at 9:45 a.m. Please come at the regular Life Group hour, get your children checked into their classes, make sure your Life Group leader knows you’re here, and then make your way to the large room in the 200 building. Our young people use that room for assembly, but they will be out by 9:45 and we can have a meeting together on this morning. We are discussing the transition in our youth ministry and also rejoicing in the wonderful camp coming up for our youth.
We rejoice in the birth of sweet Roseanna Glisson who was born on Friday, May 29 around 9:00 p.m. We’re so grateful and thankful for a healthy delivery and for our proud brand new parents Brandon and Emily Glisson!
I have really enjoyed looking at these interesting questions that people have regarding the Christian faith. Give Me an Answer from the Bible has been the title of our series. We have looked at many different questions and have a few more coming up.
