August 2026 Lifeline
What a wonderful summer we have had! We are looking forward to a new school year for all of our Elementary, Middle, and High School students as well as a new semester that begins for all of our College students. I want to encourage everyone to be looking for families and individuals that are looking for a church or need a church home. Now is the time to invite them to come and be a part of our North Central Family. We have had a number of new folks that have joined us in recent days and we’re thrilled to welcome new people as guests and new members in the days ahead.
Our Wednesday night ministry for the fall begins on August 12. We have Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at 4:00 p.m. and then our Wednesday Night Supper is at 5:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. we begin ministry for our children and youth. August 12 is Bounce Back to Awana which is the night that our families sign their students up for our wonderful Awana program. Our young people will be meeting in the 200 building for their special worship service. We’re so thankful for Micaiah Olive who is our Interim Youth Director. He is doing a fantastic job!
Our teenagers have a Lake Day on Saturday, August 15. They will be meeting at the church at 9:30 and returning to the church at 4:30. This is a free event for our students, and it is a celebration of the summer ministry as well as a launching of the new events for the fall.
We want to welcome all of our College students back. We have four special welcome lunches planned for them as they get the semester started. We will serve a free lunch to all college students on Sunday August 16, August 23, August 30, and September 6. We’re so thankful that we have the opportunity and resources to be able to do this for our college students! Please invite students to be a part of our Life Group ministry and Worship Service on Sunday mornings, and invite them to these lunches as well. We have lots planned for our College students as they get their ministry started for this fall.
Our Men’s Ministry kicks off their monthly breakfasts beginning on Saturday morning, August 29 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. This is a highlight event for the month for our men.
We have been studying the Minor Prophets. The message of the Minor Prophets is not less than the Major Prophets. They’re called minor because they are shorter books of the Bible, but their messages are power packed! God is calling His people back to Himself. We look forward to studying the remainder of these 12 books in the weeks ahead.
What a joy it is to be your Pastor. God bless you as you serve Him! May the Lord bless this precious fellowship of believers.
