Pastor Calvin is husband to Kelly, and father to Paul (Mandee), Katherine (Scott), Rachel (Matt), Jennifer, and Jerre (Alyson). He is also grandfather to Kyleigh, Charlie, Jack, Thomas, Zion, and Mary Kelly. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. During his college days in Gainesville, he attended North Central and was involved in the college and music ministries of the church. He also met Kelly, his wife, at North Central and they were married in 1982. After graduating from Southwestern, Calvin & Kelly returned to North Central, and Calvin served as Youth Pastor from 1985-1989. The Carr’s left Gainesville for Jacksonville, as Calvin was called to First Baptist Jacksonville to serve as the High School Youth Pastor. Calvin served at FBC Jax for 18 years before God led him back again to North Central.
