Dear Church Family,
I’m writing this on Monday morning, opening day of VBS 2025. Wow! What an awesome start to a fantastic week of Vacation Bible School. Kids are everywhere! We’ve got the best team of workers you can imagine, and God is at work on our campus. Thank you North Central for providing such a wonderful facility to meet the needs of our community and reach people for Christ.
Our summer is going great! We’re so grateful for the summer program that our leadership and staff have planned for our church. Right after Vacation Bible School on July 9 will have Water Park Wednesday. This is always a super awesome treat! Then with other special events for the rest of the summer, this is going to prove to be one of our best ever! I am teaching on Wednesday nights at 4:00 p.m. under the topic People Who Met Jesus. We have already studied the life of Nicodemus and the life of the Rich Young Ruler. If you’re available on Wednesdays at 4:00 please join us.
We are in a summer series on Sunday mornings entitled You Can be a Witness. This past Sunday, David Englehart, 40-year veteran of collegiate ministry at New Mexico State University, gave us the Permission Principle. Ask permission to share the gospel. You’ll be surprised how many people will give you that permission and you can share with them.
Our Youth Camp is coming up July 14 – 18. Our young people are headed to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to Ridgecrest Conference Center where they will study God’s Word together and have a wonderful time building friendships and growing in their relationship with Jesus. I’m so thankful for Brother Brandon, his wife Emily, and all of our youth ministry team. We have a tremendous group of students and leaders attending this camp. Kelly and I are planning to be with them for this special week as well.
Andrew Peterson will be with us on September 19 at 7:00 p.m. He is an award-winning musician. His original music has been celebrated all over the world. His thoughtful words and beautiful music have inspired so many in their walk with Jesus. This is going to be a very unique evening in the life of our church. Hundreds of tickets have already been sold. If you have not gotten yours yet I encourage you to purchase your tickets online on our church website northcentral.life.
Our 90th Anniversary celebration is scheduled for November 16, 2025. Please mark your calendars. On this morning we’re having Dr. Steven Rummage, Executive Director/Treasurer of our Florida Baptist State Convention, who will be our special guest speaker as we celebrate together. Our plans are to worship and have a meal provided for every person in attendance on that day. Please invite all former members and those who love our church to be a part of this special day as we celebrate nine decades of gospel ministry through the life of this fellowship. It’s absolutely remarkable what God has done through the people of North Central Baptist Church. So many people with vision and direction have challenged us to always reach farther and touch more lives with the gospel of Jesus each and every year. You don’t want to miss November 16, 2025!
Happy birthday, America! July 4 is our 249th birthday. The freedom we have is because of those that have gone before us who have sacrificed to defend our nation. We celebrate that freedom!
What a joy it is to be your Pastor. Our summer is moving along quickly. We look forward to August 13 as we bounce back into our regular Wednesday events for the fall. Be on the lookout for families you meet in your neighborhood and in your sphere of influence that need a church family. We have the very best provided for our NCBC family. It’s because of you and our leadership that every member of the family is provided for and ministered to in this precious fellowship. What a joy it is to see God work!
