April 2025 Lifeline

Dear Church Family,

We celebrate the glorious resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ on April 20, Easter Sunday! Please invite your neighbors and friends to join with us on this special day. We have invite cards that are available for you as a part of our outreach to our community. We will have biscuits on that Sunday morning in all of our Life Groups. I encourage our Life Groups to bring some special toppings if you would like and things to go with your biscuits. We will also worship on Good Friday, April 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This is a very special service as we remember the crucifixion of Christ. As a part of our Easter outreach to our community, I’m looking for us to give out special invitations to 400 homes around our church on Saturday, April 12 from 10am—noon. We have special door hangers being printed to invite these households in our area to come and be a part of our Easter activities. We will meet at the church on Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. to get our materials and make visits. You will be given a map of the area that you are to cover.

The Case for Easter is the gift that our church will give to all of our guests on Easter Sunday. Lee Strobel was an award-winning legal editor for the Chicago Tribune when he came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. He evaluated the resurrection of Christ and became a believer! He has written his research in a book called The Case for Christ. We have a special copy that is taken from this material called The Case for Easter. We will give each visiting family a copy of this book. This will be a great resource for you.

Have you ever wanted to share your faith? I encourage you to come on Sunday evening, April 6 to our Evangelism Training. This is a one session Evangelism Training that begins at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday night, April 6th. Call or email the church to get on the list. We need to know you’re coming so we can have enough refreshments and pizza.

I want you to mark the date down- November 16, 2025 for the North Central Baptist 90th Anniversary Celebration. The theme is “I will build my church!” from Matthew 16:18. This is  where Jesus said that the gates of hell would not prevail against His church. We will celebrate nine decades of gospel effort through the people of North Central. You are a part of it!  Dr. Steven Rummage, Executive  Director Treasurer, of the Florida Baptist State Convention will be our guest

speaker that day. Following our worship time we will eat together and have a great time of fellowship. Please begin inviting all active and  former North Central folks to be a part of this special day. We will be busting at the seams! We also want to include former staff and others that have been a part of this North Central family. How thankful we are for the witness of our church and the continued challenge to be salt and light in our  world.

Youth Camp is coming up July 14-18. As a part of an effort to raise some extra funds that will help many of our students, our youth will be cooking spaghetti lunches for all of our people on Sunday, April 13. You don’t have to cook! $8 gets you a spaghetti dinner that will be prepared. You can sign up this coming Sunday which will ensure that your dinners are ready when we leave the service on Sunday morning, April 13.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 30 – July 3. On our website you can sign up all your children to be a part of VBS. You can also sign up to help. We’re asking God for the best VBS we’ve ever had! Thank you Jenna Rich and all your team for the amazing ministry to our children that you provide.

September 19 at 7:00 p.m. we will host award-winning singer/songwriter and author Andrew Peterson in concert. The tickets are available on our website. Andrew Peterson is the songwriter who wrote the song “Is He Worthy?”, one of my absolute favorites! You don’t want to miss being a part of this concert. We are already generating tons of interest from people  in this region. If you’re a North Central member and you want to be a part of this concert you need to get your tickets early.

Look for a special Women’s Brunch on Saturday, May 10 at 9:30 a.m. Our ladies love to get together for special fellowship! Mark your calendars, ladies!

It is a joy to study the book of Second Corinthians with you on Sunday mornings. We will continue these studies as we learn about the marks of a New Testament church. This is our greatest prayer, that Jesus Christ would be pleased with this precious fellowship of believers, that we would have convictions, and we would share the gospel intentionally with everyone who comes in our path. It is our desire to be a disciple- making church, sending those to the ends of the earth to make a difference for Jesus. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we study God’s Word!

God bless you!
